But I will wear a surgical mask, and I will ask you to do the same, during our initial consultation and in the supine (face up) position.
The following transmission prevention protocols have been developed under the guidance of my massage mentors, The AMTA, the PA health department, and the recommendations of our CDC and the WHO. The best understanding of our current pandemic continues to evolve, and these practices only limit the likelihood of transmission, they are not a guarantee. Please use caution and your best judgement.
Massage and therapeutic bodywork are inherently hygienic practices, much of the protocol remains the same:
All linens and enhancements (such as himalayan salt stones) disinfected between clients
Washing hands before and after every massage
Daily cleaning/disinfecting of all surfaces
Rescheduling appointments if I feel ill or have a fever.
Massages by appointment only, no waiting room.
Small private practice limiting the volume of possible contamination
A few changes to my policies and routines:
Updated waiver and release to include Covid-19 inquiries
I will ask to check your temperature using a touchless thermometer upon arriving,
Disinfection of all surfaces between clients
I will request that you wear a face mask when in the supine (face up) position.
I will wear a face mask for the entire massage
We have added a hepa filter, which was shown to be effective in decreasing the transmission of the SARS virus.
Please reschedule your appointment if:
You are experiencing respiratory symptoms unrelated to allergies or not alleviated with allergy medicine.
You have a pending Covid-19 test
You have a fever
You have been exposed to a known positive case of Covid-19 within the last 14 days.
