Journey into the subtle bodies of your being, aligning and harnessing your greatest strength to fulfill your desires and manifest your destiny. This class attunes your consciousness to your seven major chakras. We begin each class with guided meditation, moving through breath centered asana yoga poses and end with meditation. This class is an introduction to the powerful practice of integrating body, mind and spirit.
Svadisthana :: "one's own place" Discover the power of personal choice in this class where we bring fluidity and flexibility to your hips and lower back while exploring our true motivation for the choices we make in our lives. To apply these principles it is highly recommend that you have a journal or means of creative expression nearby to process your experience. |
Yoga - Sutra 1:2 |
Complete mastery over the roaming tendencies of the mind is Yoga - Sutra 1:2The practice of Yoga trains your mind to follow your breath, master your breath and master your mind. This does not mean we halt the roaming tendencies of the mind, mastery gives us the gifts of observation and direction. This class introduces this practice through gentle, breath centered movements to open your heart and expand your internal space. We begin with musings on the Sutra, move into the gentle asana practice and end with guided meditation and svasana, rest not sleep.
* This class has balancing poses, so having a wall or chair nearby is helpful but not necessary. Also, yoga blocks (or rolled up towels) and a blanket are helpful but not necessary. |
Yoga for Recovery

Guided by the principles of trauma sensitive yoga, Yoga for Recovery is a practice to soothe your nervous system, befriend your body, and embrace your own power, truth, and divinity.
This class begins with a discussion of the spiritual principles of acceptance, surrender and perseverance. The asana portion is breath centered and appropriate for beginners who are able to easily rise from the floor. It may be helpful to have a pillow to sit on and yoga blocks or rolled up bath towels to use as props.
Gentle Yoga for Back and Hips

Guided by the ancient wisdom of Yoga and the modern principles of fascial unwinding, this class is a gift to your body mind and spirit.Invite flexibility and strength to your back and hips in this breath centered class focused on functional movement. We begin and end with breath meditation. This class is appropriate for beginner who are able to easily rise from the floor. This class is also beneficial for harmonizing vata, as recommended by your ayurvedic practitioner.
We will hold some poses for extended periods time, so it will be beneficial to have some props nearby: 2 or 4 bath towels (rolled up like a tootsie roll) 2 or 3 pillows (from your bed or couch) Waist high surface or wall space for balancing |
