Empowered Realignment: Reclaiming the Truth of Who You Are

Fundamental to happiness is having a right relationship with our own power. Some say humility is knowing our true value—but I believe it's through a clear, conscious relationship with our power that our true value becomes illuminated. From that, both humility and happiness naturally arise.

Too often, we give our power away through victimhood or deny it by trying to dominate or control others. When we are out of alignment with our power, we suffer—not just emotionally or mentally, but spiritually.

I know this terrain intimately. I gave my power away to drugs—and more truthfully, to my own spiritual laziness. I could have blamed childhood poverty and neglect. In some ways, that would have been easier than embracing my power and taking full responsibility for my life and happiness.

And I don’t mean the kind of responsibility that meets basic physical needs. That kind of survival-based responsibility came naturally. I’m talking about the deeper responsibility—being honest with myself, cultivating a loving and kind relationship within, being willing to uncover and own my truth, no matter how I judged it.

It required the willingness to feel the pain of withdrawal from destructive patterns—long after the substances were gone—and the courage to forge a new path.

I began to draw my power back to myself through forgiveness, surrender, courage, and faith. My power resides within me, but it is not of me. I own it, but I do not possess it. I am responsible for my happiness, my joy, and my freedom. I can cultivate these qualities—but I do not manufacture them. I simply do my part to show up, to align, to make myself available for the grace of co-creation.

This awakening, this ongoing inquiry and studentship, eventually led me to name my somato-spiritual work Empowered Realignment.

The name first emerged spontaneously. I was practicing Reiki while studying both functional and subtle anatomy in my Yoga Therapy training. A fellow yoga teacher called me and said, “I have a student who’s moving through grief—I think you can help her. What is that thing you do called?” Without much thought, I replied, “Empowered Realignment.”

At the time, my work was primarily energetic and deeply interdimensional—working across timelines, karma, and the subtle influences shaping the human experience. The name reflected this. Realignment spoke to the koshas and karmic layers of being. Empowered referred to the return of right relationship with personal will and spiritual agency.

As I moved deeper into the study of subtle and gross anatomy—and the interplay between functional structure and energetic flow—I began to see each person as a galactic system: a dynamic, self-organizing field of consciousness in perpetual motion toward harmony. This view reshaped my approach to both coaching and bodywork.

Empowered Realignment became less about integrating distinct parts—body, mind, spirit—and more about resourcing the self-healing intelligence within each layer of being: tissue consciousness, emotional mind, discernment, prana, and atman. Each of these aspects exists within the greater system of Self, which is always connected to the Great Oneness that includes us all.

This shift in perspective is what ultimately drew me to CranioSacral Therapy. Its core belief in the body’s innate self-healing capacity resonated deeply with my evolving understanding of empowerment.

What emerged is a decidedly feminine paradigm—one rooted in fluid interconnectivity and open resourcing. In this light, Empowered means calling your power back to its true source within you, and re-membering that power. Realignment means returning to your original nature as a sovereign being who is, and always has been, part of the unified field of Oneness.
