Spiritual resources

Spiritual resources are essential for overall wellbeing, they connect you to the infinite power and wisdom that resides within you. Spiritual resources vary widely in shape, form and practice, the commonality is reliable, repeatable strength. You may have a relationship with a deity or divine being, a god or angels, a spiritual principle, a beloved set of values, a force or forces of nature. Your relationship creates a feeling and a knowing within you that may not have words to describe it, but the feeling in your body is distinct and you experience it within the vast space of mind.

This vast space of mind is much more than thoughts, it is the repository of all sensory input, conscious and non conscious awareness, the creator of our internal and external reality, friend and foe to happiness and fulfillment. A mind that has becomes cluttered with obsession, false identity, fear, and blame will become easily lost and confused on the path to lasting peace and happiness. A mind that is anchored to spiritual resources, has a guide out of the murky clutter.

Connection is the key to resourcing, disconnection is the source of all dis-ease. When you bring your spiritual awareness home, finding the connection within you, you are anchored to the infinite power of the spirit of creation that lies within you. Health springs from this home. You may have a diagnosable condition, but when your are home within yourself, you are healthy.

Resources are necessary for any journey, spiritual or otherwise, we need external and internal resources for the spiritual journey to freedom from the thoughts and habits that keep us stuck in loops of confusion, anger, and despair. External resources can be people (therapists, teachers, supportive friends and family), places (worship houses, special places in nature, chosen sanctuaries), even things (comfy couch perfect for resting, soothing smells of essential oils and incense, meditation objects). These external resources support our connection to our own felt sense of safety and peace within ourselves. That felt sense is our internal resources. Recognition that external resources pave the way into our own inner strengths is the beginning of lasting peace and happiness.

My focus on the breath as the way in is born from this assertion, that you have what you need for wholeness, my role is as a guide to your own inner resources. The breath is our access to the energy of life expression, Prana, the force that animates us, this force that is at once all around us and within us. This word Prana is often translated as “breath”, yet it is so much more. Within the movement of Prana is contained all that there is to know and experience of this Human Experience. Your breath in your body is the bridge between All That Is and your greatest expression of this life.
